Funding for Sydney box port plan
Canada-based Laurentian Energy Corporation has formed a partnership with French transportation infrastructure equity fund Galaxy SARL to build a C$200M container terminal at the port of Sydney on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia.
The two-berth terminal with an annual capacity of 750,000 TEU and capable of handling vessels of up to 8,500 TEU capacity, will be built on a Greenfield at Sydport on the west side of the harbour’s south arm close to the Sydport Marine Industrial Park where Laurentian Energy operates a dockside steel fabrication facility....
