In the latest round of consolidation in the container leasing industry, CAI International, the world’s seventh largest lessor by fleet size, has acquired Consent Equipment AB from BNS Consent Holdings for US$15.6M in cash and the assumption of approximately US$25M in debt.
Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, Consent is a long-established lessor of European palletwide containers, swap bodies and roll trailers, with offices in Sweden, Germany and the UK. Its fleet numbers around 4,500 cellular and non-cellular palletwide containers, including 1,200 units just acquired from affiliated company BNS Consent, 2,400 swap bodies and 1,200 roll trailers....
