National Container Company (NCC) has signed a contract with Fabrisem SL of Spain for the production and delivery of 17 trailers for its container terminals. Twelve units will be delivered to First Container Terminal (FCT) in Saint Petersburg and the other five to the off-dock container terminal NCC is developing in Shushary.
The delivery of the new trailers along with Konecranes RTGs and Kalmar terminal tractors (19 TR618i icon tractors for FCT and Shushary) marks a change of direction for FCT, which up to now has been mainly a straddle carrier operation, supported by reach stackers. The Shushary ICD is being set up to use RTGs and truck/ trailer sets from the start....
