Cargotec has reported that orders received during the first half of 2008 totalled €2.168B (€1.864B in first half of 2007). In 2Q/2008, orders received were €1.013B (€949M in 2Q/07). The order book continued to strengthen, reaching €3.36B, compared to €2.865B at December 31, 2007.
Sales for the first half grew by 13% to €1.627B (€1437B), with service sales representing 25% of total sales (unchanged as a percentage). Sales in 2Q/08 were €901M (€743M). Operating profit for the first half rose to €107.3M (€104.3M). Operating margin for January-June was 6.6% (7.3%) percent and 7% (6.2%) for the second quarter....
