India’s Chennai Port Trust (CPT) will issue a revised tender this month to invite bids for the construction and operation of a 4M TEU/year container terminal.
Although requests for qualification for the project have already been invited (see WorldCargo News August 2007, p1), tender modifications were deemed necessary as the projected cost of the terminal has increased by 16% to Rs36B (US$828M) from the earlier estimate of Rs31 billion....
