Logistics company Bolloré Group has brought all of its African operations under a single subsidiary, known as Bolloré Africa Logistics (BAL). However, the Bolloré companies already operating in Africa, including Afritramp, Antrak, Saga, SDV, Socopao and Transami, most of which were acquired in the 1980s, will retain their existing names.
According to a recent statement, increased competition has prompted the company to integrate all of its African operations, which cover 41 countries and employ almost 20,000 staff. Having already sold its Delmas and OTAL shipping companies, the firm hopes that it can serve all shipping lines through its new offshoot on an equal basis....
