A new multi-purpose terminal being built at the Japanese port of Shibushi will open next spring, according to Akira Hagi, a spokesman for the Kagoshima prefectural government.
The 120,000 TEU capacity terminal will have a 14m draft quay, allowing it to handle ships of up to 50,000 dwt. It will be equipped with two 35.6t ship-toshore cranes and 50 reefer plugs....
