Major berth construction contracts have been let at leading ports at opposite ends of Europe.
In Germany, HHLA’s Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) in Hamburg is to get two more berths aimed at NPX (New Panamax after 2015) container vessels. Following a public European tender, Hamburg Port Authority has awarded the construction contracts, worth €41.5M, to ARGE Burchardkai Liegeplatz 3+4, part of Hochtief Construction AG, and F+2 Baugesellschaft mbH....
