Seattle-based Tideworks Technology has successfully implemented its Spinnaker Planning Management System at Batumi International Container Terminal (BICT) in Adjara, Georgia. BICT is operated by ICTSI and is the second ICTSI terminal to implement Tideworks software, following the Baltic Container Terminal in Gdynia.
BICT has implemented Spinnaker on a standalone basis, that is without integrating it with a Terminal Operating Systems (TOS). What is commonly referred to as a TOS is, in fact, often two or more separate applications; the actual TOS is a data handling application that manages all the terminal data on container inventory and related transactions....
