Saigon Newport Company (SNC), Vietnam’s biggest container port operator, has opened a 216m long seventh container berth at Cat Lai Port in Ho Chi Minh City that will increase handling capacity to 350,000 TEU a year.
The military-owned company, which invested VND450B (US$25.4M) to build the berth, which can accommodate 30,000-dwt vessels, plans to add an eighth berth next year....
