Konecranes has reported orders for six RTGs (August) and two EC handling reach stackers (last month) from Damietta Container and Cargo Handling Company (DCHC) in Egypt. The RTGs will be delivered during autumn 2010 and the reach stackers during early 2010. The value of the orders has not been disclosed.
Last year DCHC, which has just taken delivery of two superpost-Panamax ZPMC cranes, handled 1.241M TEU and the estimate for 2009 is 1.4M TEU. “These investments are part of our extensive expansion plans for the future,” said Admiral Mohammed Saad Zagloul, DCHC’s chairman. “The new equipment will improve our productivity.”...
