The demand for container security seals has never been stronger, as the global shipping industry further cracks down on crime and faces up to the ever-present threat of terrorism

Leading container security seal suppliers are reporting annual increases in output of 15-20 per cent or more. The majority of these extra sales concern standard mechanical models of the strip, bolt or cable type, as designs of greater sophistication - notably the electronic container seal or e-seal - have yet to be fully verified and accepted....
