As previously reported (WorldCargo News, December 2003, p2) crane maker Paolo de Nicola SpA, now part of Lugli, is now an official Paceco Corp licensee for all the latter company’s container crane product range. The deal gives Paolo de Nicola exclusive rights in Italy, but also other countries are available on demand, on a case by case basis.
“We believe that the new arrangements will boost the sales of de Nicola in this important field, due to the know-how and experience provided by Paceco Corp and, at the same time the weakness and/or lack of interest recently shown by some competitors for this market,” remarks Italo Focherini, who was appointed commercial manager for de Nicola’s port equipment division in January this year....
