As briefly mentioned in last month’s issue of WorldCargo News (p36), RAM Spreaders has introduced a new 20-40ft spreader for harbour mobile cranes, with an SWL of 35 tonnes eccentrically loaded.
The simple beam design of the new 1770 model, says Ram, provides a robust yet low weight unit, which maximises the crane’s lift capacity, and with less inertia when rotating unladen. The spreader is equipped with six hydraulically-actuated flippers....
