Transfennica takes delivery of first of new con-ros
Transfennica has taken delivery of TIMCA, the first of a series of eight con-ro forest product carriers, built in Szczecin by Stocznia Sczcecinska Nowa SA (SSN). The total order represents an investment of some US$320M and marks the largest commitment Transfennica has ever made in new tonnage.
Due to several months delay in delivery, the first ship will now be operated between Hamima/Hanko and Antwerp, while several of her sister vessels will operate between Finland and Lübeck’s new con-ro terminal, Seelandkai....
