Twin 40ft cranes are increasingly popular but other ideas for more productive cranes have not fared as well.
ZPMC is enjoying success with its twin 40ft cranes, but has also tried several other ideas to develop more productive container cranes. It looked at increasing the trolley speed, and built some cranes with a maximum speed of 350 m/min, but this did not prove practical and customers that tried it, including a Waigaoqiao terminal and SSA Marine, did not persist....
