Nascent Technology has completed an automated gate system at APMT’s new terminal in Virginia that is claimed to be the most technologically advanced in North America At the official opening, APMT officials said the gate system, with 12 inbound and 12 outbound lanes, incorporated technology and design features that would optimise the flow of trucks and cargo movement within the terminal as well as providing the safest working environment possible.
Nascent has been providing gate automation solutions from its Synapse suite of automation products since 1996 for clients including marine terminals and railroads across the US. The company’s James Shondel says Nascent has developed a suite of products to automate different gate functions that has evolved as new technology comes on line....
