Katoen Natie, the Belgiumbased logistics company, is to expand its already large storage and distribution facility alongside the River Po in Cremona, set up just four years ago.
“We have 24 silos with a capacity for 500,000 m3,” says Dirk Verwimp, MD of Katoen Natie Italia Srl (KNI), “but that is no longer sufficient to meet import demand for plastics in Italy.” KNI is anticipating a surge (ondata) in demand in the next two years and will double static storage capacity to 1M m3 with another 24 silos....
