Non-European suppliers are pushing for a larger share of the heavy front lift truck market.
Countries such as Australia and the US have long had domestic suppliers in the heavy FLT, but the limited size of the domestic market (in the case of Australia) and the cost of development (Australia and North America) meant it made more sense to establish a relationship with an established heavy supplier for reach stackers and, in some cases, dedicated container handlers. That balance is now changing as the economic fundamentals line up for production outside Europe....
