Eurogate IT Services has purchased a simulation-based “planning and emulation tool” called ViTO (Virtual Terminal Optimisation) developed by the Institute for Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL) in Bremen.
ViTO is based on ISL’s simulation tool SCUSY (Simulation of Container Unit Handling System), which it has used for over 20 years. It is a tool that allows simulation strategies to be coupled to the actual TOS or equipment control systems (“emulation”)....
