Anyone just taking a cursory glance at this year’s and last year’s tables can see what a difference a year makes. The “blue areas” tracking new order intake are much shorter! Furthermore, WorldCargo News estimates that 267 shipto-shore container cranes will be delivered in 2009, compared to 313 in 2008.
About this time last year, ZPMC was showing bookings for 2009 delivery of 175 cranes. In the event it is now reporting that it will deliver 203 cranes this year, compared to 241 in 2008 (the year it consolidated SPMP into its figures) and 239 in 2007 (when SPMP was still separate)....
