China International Marine Containers (CIMC) has launched a new 40ft lightweight steel reefer container design aimed particularly at shippers of bananas and other fresh produce that weighs out before it cubes out.
The muffler grade stainless steel (MGSS)-clad Ultra-Liner reefer features a new high performance composite lining material and a weathering high tensile steel frame that has allowed the tare weight of a 40ft x 8ft 6in high unit to be pegged at just 3,460 kg....
