The tank container industry is nothing if not resilient. Six months ago there was a mood of despondency amongst the leading tank lessors, operators and manufacturers. After several years of steadily increasing output by the manufacturers, the bubble seemed set to burst. Lease rates were collapsing, utilisation levels were wobbling downwards and newbuilding prices had settled at their normal floor when things are not quite right...
