According to unconfirmed reports, the keel of the first of a series of six 15,000 TEU “Suezmax” containerships has been laid at A P Møller’s Lindo, shipyard in Denmark.
The new ships are said to be 405m long and to stack 23-wide on deck, although the figure is probably 22 since most of the biggest container cranes, including those at Maersk’s own terminals, stack 22-wide. The beam is reported to be 55m....
