The Canadian province of Manitoba is pushing a plan to develop the Hudson Bay Port of Churchill as a northern gateway for container traffic flowing into North America via the Arctic Ocean.
With climate change extending the Arctic shipping season, the plan is aimed at handling (mainly) Chinese imports transported by rail to Murmansk via Moscow and then shipped to Churchill....
