Terberg takes charge of all British Isles sales
Terberg Benschop BV is taking over sales of all its terminal tractors and other products in the British Isles, through its UK-based daughter company Terberg (DTS) UK Ltd
With effect from the start of this year, Dutch based terminal tractor manufacturer has assumed, through Terberg DTS (UK), responsibility for sales of terminal and ro-ro tractors in the British and Irish marine and heavy industrial markets.
Up to now, Terberg DTS has been responsible only for sales in the “spotter”/distribution sector, while mainstream marine/heavy industrial sales have been handled by Transtec Equipment.
“The Terberg Group of Companies are now in a position to promote the entire tractor range,” said Alisdair Couper and Keith Jones, managing directors of Terberg DTS (UK) and Transtec Equipment respectively, in a joint letter to all customers.
“It is Terberg DTS’s objective to continue to develop the UK and Irish markets and to improve the levels of service and customer satisfaction which have been developed over the years.’’
Richard Woodings and Julie Balshaw are joining Terberg DTS from Transtec. Associated with this change of personnel, Terberg DTS is also taking over the Mantsinen crane line from Transtec.
Through Transtec, Terberg has become easily the leading terminal tractor supplier to seaports in the British Isles (for latest update see WorldCargo News, November 2008, p42).
Transtec will remain active in the supply of new and used goosenecks, rolltrailers, harbour trailers and special design trailers for exceptional loads. It retains full distributorship for TTS Liftec cassette systems and, following a recent agreement, for container spreaders from Stinis.
