Some key appointments have been announced
Zweibrücken: Thomas Ostermann has been named Vice President and Managing Director for Terex Cranes, to provide overall management for the newly acquired Fantuzzi and Noell port equipment business. Most recently he was Vice President Finance for Terex Cranes, holding those responsibilities since joining the company in 2004.
His responsibilites over the business lines of Fantuzzi, Reggiane Cranes & Plants, Noell Mobile Systems and Noell China. For the time being, Terex-PPM in Montceaux-les-Mines, which makes AT mobile cranes as well as reach stackers, has not been bundled into what amounts to Terex Cranes' new ports division.
Ostermann reports directly to Rick Nicholls, President of Terex Cranes and a Vice President of Terex Corporation.
Manila: International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) subsidiary ICTSI Ltd has appointed Manuel Fernandez as Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Before ICTSI, Fernandez was DHL Express’ Senior Vice President for Customer Experience and Real Estate. Prior to DHL, he worked at American President Lines and was responsible for the opening of two new services in Central America and one in the west coast of South America. Earlier he spent 12 years with Sealand Service.
Houston: Port Commission Chairman James T Edmonds has announced that Houston businessman Alec G Dreyer is expected to be named executive director of the Port of Houston Authority. The Port Commission will consider the recommendation at its regular Tuesday, September 29 meeting.
PHA Executive Director H Thomas Kornegay retired on February 1 after 37 years of service and Wade Battles, who has been PHA managing director since 1999, served as acting executive director while the search for a new executive director was under way.
