Some recent appointments of relevance to the global ports, rail and logistic services supply sectors
Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) has announced the appointment of former GM Sales, Logistics and Commercial, Nosipho Damasane, as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 01 October 2009.
The apointment follows the acceptance by current COO Solly Letsoalo of a Managing Director’s position in the private sector. Executive Commercial Manager Don Maclean will be appointed in an acting capacity as GM Sales, Logistics and Commercial following Damasane’s transfer.
Laurence Bovy has succeded Edmée De Groeve as president of Belgian Railways. De Groeve has resigned both this post and his position as president of Charleroi airport.
Steffen Bergholz has been appointed Managing Director of the Nacora Group, succeeding Dr Thorsten Weber, who will pursue new challenges outside the Kuehne & Nagel Group.
ICTSI affiliate Yantai Rising Dragon International Container Terminals Ltd (YRDICTL) has appoitnted Shiti Pang as Deputy General Manager and Jianjun Li as Technical and Security Director.
Illinois, US-based cvil engineering firm Manhard Consulting Ltd has appointed Rob Adams as National Director, Supply Chain Logistics. Matt Gehman will lead the new Supply Chain Logistics/Ports and Maritime division, based in Norfolk, Virginia.
