Latest appointments in the global shipping, transport and allied industries
Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan) Ltd has promoted its President Jack Yen to Vice Chairman. Captain C J Wang , Chief Executive Vice President, has been appointed President. Anchor Chang , Executive Vice President of International Business Division, was promoted to Chief Executive Vice President.
Stellan Bernsro has stepped down from his post as Vice President, cargo access business unit and President, TTS Ships Equipment AB. Göran Johansson will take up the post vacated until a permanent replacement for Bernsro is found.
Philippe Gilbert has been appointed EVP of Geodis Wilson. Peter Nevhagen, who led the division together with Philippe Gilbert during the transition period (the takeover of Geodis Group by SNCF) will remain a member of the Board as COO. Geodis’ freight management division is hence from now on under one single leadership.
Austal has announced the appointment of Chris Pemberton to the position of General Manager, Austal Service. He previously held senior positions within Austal's sales and marketing team.
The Supervisory Board of DB Schenker Rail Deutschland AG has appointed Otto G Niederhofer to the Management Board. Niederhofer will assume responsibility for the newly created "Region Central Production Companies" division and will therefore be in charge of all the production companies allocated to Region Central, vis: DB Schenker Rail Nederland, DB Schenker Rail Scandinavia, Nord Cargo (Italy), RBH Logistics, MEG (both Germany) and DB Schenker Rail Schweiz, as well as Cobra (Belgium) and BLS Cargo (Switzerland), companies in which DB Schenker Rail holds a stake.
Agility has announced the appointment of Hans Hickler as CEO, Asia Pacific Region. At the same time, Wolfgang Hollermann, who was previously CEO, Asia Pacific Region, will transition to a new role as Advisor to the Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) President and CEO, Essa Al-Saleh. Hickler joins Agility from DHL, where he most recently was CEO for Global Customer Solutions, based in the United States.
CargoWise has appointed Craig Seelig as Product Manager for Customs and Government Compliance in the Americas. In this new role he is responsible for all customs brokerage and compliance products for the North American market.
