The latest round-up of known comings and goings in the port, shipping, rail and allied industries
Peel Ports has confirmed former Peel Airports CEO Mark Whitworth as its new CEO. Whitworth, who has been acting CEO since the departure of Stephen Baxter in June, takes over the permanent running of Peel's entire ports operation - Liverpool, the Manchester Ship Canal, Clydeport, Medway and Heysham.
ICTSI has named Jan Novak as CEO and GM of its Georgian concession, Batumi International Container Terminal, LLC. He replaces Frank Carter, who has left the company.
The Port of Los Angeles has appointed Christopher Cannon as its new director, environmental management.
Broward County has named Bob Musser as environmental projects manager at Port Everglades.
Milford Haven Port Authority has appointed Dick Moore as its new marketing director.
Danny Jones, formerly Port San Antonio’s (Texas) airport manager, has been promoted to VP, port management, overseeing operations at Kelly Field, the joint-use runway shared with Lackland Air Force Base, and East Kelly Railport.
Per Kroner has been appointed SVP, cargo access business unit, marine division, and president, TTS Ships Equipment AB. Göran Johansson steps down from both roles, but will be available until the end of this year and will also remain on the Board of TTS marine division.
Andreas Schulz is the new head of intermodal at DB Schenker Rail, taking over from Karsten Sachsenröder.
The United Kingdom Warehousing Association has appointed John Maguire (sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle Ltd) as its new vice chairman. He will work closely with the UKWA’s current national chairman, Derrick Potter, and will take over from him in that role next year.
