Update of new appointments in the global shipping, ports and allied industries.
The Jacksonville Port Authority, Florida recently authorised contract negotiations with former Federal Maritime Commissioner A Paul Anderson to become its chief executive officer.
Kelly King has been appointed to head up a new international rail operations support team established by Kansas City Southern Lines and Kansas City Southern de Mexico at corporate HQ in Kansas City.
Jean-Louis Demeuleraere, the deputy CEO of SNCF Geodis and CEO of Geodis, has been named chairman of the supervisory Board of STVA, the SNCF Geodis affiliate.
Steve Rubin, president & CEO of TRAC Intermodal has elected chairman of the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). Rubin, He succeeds Stephen G Branscum, group VP, consumer products, BNSF Railway.
David W Manning, president, Tennessee Express, Inc. is IANA's new Vice Chairman and Thomas M Kelly, EVP of MOL (America), Inc, is IANA's new Treasurer.
Michael McMinn has joined APS Technology Group, Inc, as VP, Engineering, responsible for all APS product solutions, software development and R&D for all existing marine and intermodal product lines.
Robert L ("Bob") Lekites, president of UPS Airlines, has retired affter 36 years of service. Mitch Nichols, VP of UPS Air Group operations, has been named to replace him.
Graeme McFaull has left his post as CEO of Wincanton plc, following the completion of a strategic review of the business. He will be succeeded is Eric Born, the current COO.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) has appointed Thea Corwin as head of environment, a new post at the company. Vidar Hole, formerly VP, Logistics, in the Shipping and Logistics Division of Wilh Wilhelmsen ASA, has been appointed Business Director, responsible for WSS's Maritime Logistics Services portfolio.
Sainath Natarajan has joined Barloworld Logistics as Divisional Director Sales, Middle East, based in Dubai, UAE.
US-based loading dock specialist Blue Giant Equipment Corporation has appointed Luciano Pelosi as Engineering Manager.
The UK Railfrieght Group (RFG) has appointed David Spaven as its new Scotland representative. He takes over from Bill Ure, who held this post for RFG for five years and is retiring.
UK container haulage and logistics firm BRT International, based in Barry, Wales, recently appointed Annmarie Honey as accounts manager, eporting directly to managing director Tony Yeo and business partner Tony Rosser.
