Mme Philly Teixeira has joined CMA CGM group as VP, marketing and commercial, global accounts. She reports directly to M Rodolphe Saadé. Michel Sirat has been appointed group CFO.
Jerry Nagel has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Rickmers-Linie (America), Inc. His former position as President and CEO of Rickmers-Linie (America) has been assumed by Sean Carney. He joined the Rickmers-Linie team in Houston in December 2010 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has sworn in Mario Cordero, of Long Beach, CA as a commissioner for a term to expire on June 30, 2014. Prior to his appointment to the FMC, Cordero was an attorney in private practice and served eight years on the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners where he spearheaded the port‘s pioneering "green port" policy.
Axel Mattern is to become CEO of the Port of Hamburg Marketing Association. Claudia Roller becomes speaker and Mattern assumes specific responsibility for the management of customers and projects in the port's core markets.
Dr John Meredith, Group Managing Director, Hutchison Ports Holdings (HPH), Hong Kong was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the international ports industry in Queen Elizabeth II's Birthday Honours List. Dr Meredith joined HPH in 1972 and since then HPH has grown from operating a single container terminal to operating a network of 51 facilities in 25 countries.
Mme Colette Lewiner has been co-opted to the Board of Groupe Eurotunnel SA, following the death of M Pierre Bilger.
