Evergreen's Chang honoured in Rotterdam

Evergreen Group Chairman Dr Chang Yung-Fa has been presented with the honour of Commander in the Order of Orange-Nassau in recognition of his contribution to the port of Rotterdam and the development of the Dutch economy. This is the first time that the honour, created 100 years ago, has been awarded to a Chinese.
The award was presented on behalf of Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, the Queen Regnant of the Netherlands, by the Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb at a ceremony held in the Wereldmuseum, witnessed by many local dignitaries.
Said Dr. Chang: “Evergreen has enjoyed a successful and professional relationship with the Netherlands for more than three decades. This is a tremendous honour that has significant meaning both to me and to the good people of Evergreen worldwide.”
Rickmers-Linie has extended its executive Board. JoiningJan Boje Steffens, managing partner and CEO of the parent holding the Rickmers Group in Hamburg who is also President and CEO of the Rickmers-Linie, are Rüdiger Gerhardt, who has been appointed as Managing Director; and Ulrich Ulrichs, who has been appointed Deputy Managing Director. Both executives will remain in charge of their previous activities at Rickmers.
UPS has appointed Jim Barber as its new president of the UPS Europe Region with responsibility for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He replaces Wolfgang Flick, who is retiring after 35 years with UPS, including the last 7½ as president of the Europe Region.
Alabama State Port Authority director and chief executive officer James K Lyons has announced four promotions within his senior management team. Linda Paaymans moves from her current position as VP, Finance to SVP, Finance and Bradley Ojard moves from VP, Operations to SVP, Operations. Jerald Kichler becomes VP, Engineering Services and Bob Harris becomes VP, Environmental and Program Management.
Karl-Heinz Fiegenbaum has been appointed general manager (commercial) of Aumund group affiliate Schade Lagertechnik GmbH. He takes over full from Jörg Hoffmann who is leaving for a new position in the Group. Fiegenbaum is a former general manager of TAIM Weser and until June this year was CEO of the German subsidiary of Greek steel construction specialist Vemekep.
