Latest round-up of appointments known to WorldCargo News
Crowley Maritime Corp recently appointed Cole Cosgrove as vice president, marine operations for its liner service groups, based in Jaxport. Suz Michel was appointed vice president, safety and learning, also based in Jaxport.
Konecranes is ringing the changes as of January 1, 2012: As earlier planned, Harry Ollila will step down from his duties as Head of Market Operations and member of Group Executive Board, although his services will be retained as a consultant.
Mikko Uhari, currently Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Equipment, will succeed Harry Ollila as Executive Vice President and Head of Market Operations.
Hannu Rusanen, currently Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Service, will succeed Mikko Uhari as Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Equipment.
Fabio Fiorino, currently Vice President, Head of Service, Region Americas, will succeed Hannu Rusanen as Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Service. He has previously been president of Morris Material Handling, Inc. and R&M Material Handling, Inc.
Other Executive Board posts are not affected by the cascade changes occasioned by Harry Olila's retirement.
Scott Bergeron has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR), the US-based manager of the Liberian Registry. Bergeron joined LISCR in 2000 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he worked for shipowner/manager Laurin Maritime, for Det Norske Veritas and for the US Coast Guard.
Ayman Eldawi has been appointed General Manager of World Crane Services, the Dubai-based affiliate of DP World specialising in crane inspection and refurbishment and upgrade services. He replaces Cameron Waugh, who has taken up a new appointment with Abu Dhabi-based ALE Heavy Transportation and Lifting.
Antwerp Port Authority has appointed three new representatives in South America: Both Fernando Bustamante and German Calderon are based in Chile, in Ciudad de Panamá. Henrique Machado is based in Belo Horizonte (MG) in Brazil.
The Board of Directors of Kuehne + Nagel International AG has prolonged the contracts of CEO Reinhard Lange until the end of 2013, of CFO Gerard van Kesteren until mid-2014 and of Dirk Reich, Executive Vice President, Contract Logistics and Road & Rail Logistics, until the end of 2014.
