Boris Wenzel joins Noatum Ports
The man who oversaw the emergence of DCT Gdansk as the Baltic port of call for 15,000 TEU Maersk ships is moving to sunnier climes in Spain
So far Noatum Ports (the former Dragados-SPL) has not disclosed the post that Boris Wenzel will be taking up, but his last official act as CEO of DCT Gdansk was to sign a lease with Gdansk port authority for DCT2. Due for comissioning in 2016, this will take DCT's total capacity to 4M TEU. In January this year, DCT handled an all-time monthly record of 106,000 TEU.
Wenzel's replacement as CEO of DCT is Maciek Kwiatkowski, a highly experienced container terminal manager, whose former posts include being CEO of P&O Ports' SAGT Sri Lanka (now DP World) and CEO of DP World Callao.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK (CILT) has appointed Jim Steer, a co-founder of Steer Davies Gleave, as its new President-Elect. He will take over the one-year post from Graham Inglis in May 2013.
