NYK Group Americas, Inc has appointed W Patrick Burgoyne as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ceres Terminals, Inc, effective April 1, 2013. He has served since 2010 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Yusen Terminals, Inc, a role he will retain, and will be based at Ceres’ corporate headquarters in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He is also a member of the NYK Group Americas, Inc Board of Directors. Thomas J Simmers, who has led Ceres Terminals, Inc since 2003, will be leaving the organisation effective March 31st.
Glen Hilton has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PTP Tanjung Pelepas. His career includes 12 years with various ports in the DP World Group, including posts in Ho Chi Minh City and Caucedo. One of the key tasks, said PTP's Chairman Datuk Mohd Sidik Shaik Osman, will be to oversee PTP's RM1.4B expansion programme, which is slated for completion in May 2014.
Forth Ports plc has appointed Debbie Bartlett as Development Director for the Port of Tilbury.
Cork businessman John Mullins has been formally appointed as Chairman of the Port of Cork by the Irish Minister of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Leo Varadkar, TD for a five year term.
The Board of Directors of Kuehne + Nagel International AG accepted the request of Reinhard Lange, CEO of the Kuehne + Nagel Group since 2009, to release him from his duties for health reasons effective May 7, 2013 (AGM). Until the termination of his contract on December 31, 2013, Reinhard Lange will continue to support the Group in a consultancy role. To facilitate the transition to a new Group CEO - the search is underway - a management team under the leadership of Karl Gernandt, Chairman of Kuehne + Nagel International AG, will take over the tasks of Reinhard Lange.
Dan Brutto is retiring as president of UPS International and will be succeeded by Jim Barber, currently president of UPS Europe.
Kim Pedersen has been appointed Executive Vice President of Geodis Wilson, heading the global freight forwarding division.
Josefin Ahlgren, formerly Quality Manager of Martin Bencher Group in Stockholm, is heading up a new Sydney, Australia office for the firm.
Andrew Jones has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thomas Miller (Asia Pacific) Ltd with effect from April 2013. He will be responsible for providing services to all Thomas Miller’s managed clubs in the region.
Completing the transition of management to younger members of the Irizar family, Ane Lasa Irizar is now director of finance and human resources at Spain-based Forjas Irizar (Irizar Forge), taking over from her mother, Marisol Irizar.
UK-based FB Chain Ltd has appointed John Wilson as its Conveyor Chain Product Manager for Ireland.
