Jesper Praestensgaard, who has been responsible for the Global Markets und Global Accounts departments on the Executive Board at Hapag-Lloyd AG since January 2011, will be leaving the company in June.Until further notice, Michael Behrendt, Chairman of the Executive Board of Hapag-Lloyd AG, will assume responsibility for the departments.
Henrik Joergensen has joined project cargo and heavy lift shipping specialist J Poulsen Shipping A/S as CFO.
Mikel Uriarte has become the new chairman of the Board of Valparaíso port authority (EPV), replacing Alfonso Mujica. The appointment was made by the management committee of Sistemas de Empresas Públicas (state companies). Uriarte was previously director of cargo at the Fondo Nacional de Salud (national social security fund), president of the Chilean Assurance Association and head of the Insurance and Securities Control Board.
Gary Cross has been appointed President and CEO of Maher Terminals, LLC. The appointment was announced by Enrico Sanna, Head of Operating Assets at Maher's owner, Deutsche Bank. Gary Cross has been with Maher since 1978 and became an Executive Vice President in 2011.
Niels Dekker has been appointed public affairs and communications manager of Rotterdam World Gateway Terminal.
Bruno Mandrin has resigned his post as director general of the parcels division of SNCF Geodis. He has been replaced by Olivier Mélot, director of SNCF Geodis road division, whose successor in that post is Olivier Royer.
