After six years as President and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL), Arild B Iversen is moving into a new role as consultant to the parent companies and WWL. Christopher J Connor , currently Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, will take over at the helm.
“Under Arild Iversen’s solid and impressive leadership, WWL has grown to be a global leader in logistics, with a network that spans the globe over both land and sea,” said Leif Løddesøl, Chairman of the WWL Board of Directors. “Throughout this time, Chris Connor has been a central member of the WWL executive team as well as Deputy CEO, making the factory to dealer strategy a reality. He knows the company and our customers well and has broad international experience in his field. I have every confidence in our new CEO,” concluded Leif Løddesøl.
Chris Connor started as President and CEO on June 21st, and is located at the company’s headquarters in Lysaker, Norway.
Claudia Roller, Chief Executive Officer of Port of Hamburg Marketing, is to retire at the end of the year, for health reasons. “For me the decision to retire from working life is a difficult one," said Claudia Roller. "My tasks and work at HHM have always given me great pleasure, working with so many cooperation partners, in the interest of our member companies in Hamburg’s port economy and in the region.”
Already as from 1 July 2013 Claudia Roller will step down from her position as Chief Executive Officer of the association and will act as consultant until the end of the year. HHM will be in the hands of executive board member Axel Mattern as from 1 July 2013. The Supervisory Board of HHM will tackle the question of a successor for Claudia Roller.
Alexander Prahl, who has been supporting the Eurogate sales team since 1 June 2013. will replace Jürgen Holdack, who is set to retire on 31 January 2014, as director of sales in the deepsea carrier and North Sea/Baltic feeder/shortsea segments.
SNCF President Guillaume Pepy has named Alain Picard as director general of SNCF Geodis, following the (previously reported resignation of Pierre Blayau. Alain Picard was formerly an assistant director general (DGA), in charge of finance, purchasing and IT. The statement says that he will be supported in his new post by Marie-Christine Lombard (Geodis), Sylvie Charles (rail freight), Jean-Michel Genestier (multimodal), Olivier Ghesquière (Ermewa), Fabien Rochefort (Akiem) et Pierre Enderlé (STVA). Mathias Emmerich replaces Alain Picard as DGA, finance. Meanwhile, Pierre Blayau has been named chairman of the Supervisory Board of nuclear industry group AREVA, replacing Jean-Cyril Spinetta.
Silke Schael, formerly sales manager of Götting KG, has been working since last September as VP, sales, port business for EMEA region, for Identec Solutions.
Rackley Dawson, formerly VP, sales of Bromma, Inc in the USA and later sales manager of Johannes Huebner Corp USA, has been working since January this year as regional sales manager, materials handling, for TMEIC Corporation.
As of July 1, Burkhard Eling will be taking over the Finance, Legal, and Tax Department at logistics provider Dachser. He succeeds Professor Dr Dieter Truxius, who will remain a member of the company’s management until he retires at the end of the year.
