Tomas Dyrbye has stepped down as CEO of Hansa Heavy Lift after one year in post. Senior Vice President Roger Iliffe, from Oaktree Capital Management, has resumed the post of CEO while a saerch for Mr Dyrbye's successor is carried out.
Hamburg-based SykSails GmbH, manufacturer of automated towing kites for cargo vessels, has appointed Jürgen Gerdes as its director for new sales and services. He joins from Finland's Wärtsila group.
Paul Scurrah has been appointed chief executive of DP World Australia, replacing Ganesh Raj. DP World sold a 75% stake in its Australian operations to Citi Infrastructure Investors in 2010 and, according to The Australian, the apointment of Mr Scurrah, who was Aurizon's EVP, marketing, reflects "a more independent approach to managing the asset under the new ownership structure."
Heinrich Beckmann has unexpectedly left his post as joint managing director of Lübecker Hafen Gesellschaft for as yet unexplained reasons, even though his remit runs until February 2014. He joined LHG in July 2008.
Marc Delbeke has been appointed to represent the port of Antwerp in France.
Declan Guerin has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of MacGregor, part of Cargotec, as of September 1.
Uwe Will has been elected manging director of the Bremen ports' marketing organisation (BHV). He is currently responsible for international projects at Bremenports GmbH & Co, KG. He will succeed Klaus Platz with effect from January next year.
Thomas Bamberg has been appointed managing director of BLG AutoRail GmbH.
Damco has appointed Samuel Israel as Regional CEO for the Latin America Region.
