Some high profile names in the shipping and ports sectors are moving on

Uwe Bakosch has resigned as CEO and President of Finnlines. Emanuele Grimaldi, the boss of Finnlines parent Grimaldi group, has taken over as CEO and President, while Jon-Aksel Torgersen has replaced Emanuele Grimaldi as Chairman. Uwe Bakosch continues to head Finnlines Deutschland GmbH.
Morten Engelstoft is to become CEO of Maersk’s Services and Other Shipping division. The former COO of Maersk Line will also assume the position of CEO of Maersk Tankers. Engelstoft's predecessor, Hanne B Sørensen, has been appointed CEO of Damco, replacing Rolf Habben-Jansen, who announced his departure in September 2013.
Dr Geraldine Knatz has announced that she will retire as CEO of the Port of Los Angeles at the end of the year after eight years in post, drawing the veil on a spectacular and at times brilliant career spanning almost 30 years in the San Pedro Bay ports. Gary Lee Moore will serve as Acting General Manager until a new CEO is appointed.
Dos Bocas Port Authority in Mexico has appointed Miguel Ángel Servín Hernández as the new managing director. He replaces Juan Gerardo Montaño, who was appointed to the same position one month ago, but was forced to resign a week later due to health problems.
Alvaro Espinosa Almarza has been appointed managing director of TCVAL, the company set up by OHL to manage its concession to operate Terminal 2 in the Port of Valparaíso. He previously held the posts of managing director at the Iquique Freezone, at EPSA in San Antonio and at Iquique Port Company (EPI). Juan Carlos Manzur has been appointed TCVAL's head of operations.
Alan Olivier has been elected Chairman and President of the UK P&I Club. He succeeds Dino Caroussis who has retired from the Board.
Envirotainer has announced that Simon Angeldorff has succeeded Gustaf Ljunggren as CEO. Angeldorff is currently Chairman of the Board and will assume the position of Executive Chairman. The Board of Directors has initiated a search for a new permanent CEO .
Kuehne & Nagel has appointed Pamela Doyle as new national manager for Ireland. She succeeds Marcus Bennett who was recently announced as national manager for the United Kingdom.
