Euronav NV has appointed Peter G Livanos as Chairman of the Board, replacing Marc Saverys, who has become Vice Chairman. Saverys said: “I am pleased to step down after one of the busiest times the company had in its history and give the chairmanship to Peter…The expected tanker shipping markets recovery seems in sight. Peter and Euronav can continue to count on my full support going forward.”
Markus Bartsch will be the new CEO of German shipbuilder Flensburger Schiffbau Gesellschaft mbH & Co KG from January 2015, succeeding Peter Sierk, who will become CEO of the parent holding company, Norddeutsche Schiffbau Holding. Frank Bywater remains managing director for the technical division. Bartsch comes from the midsize Butting Group on Knesebek.
Vincent Picquard has been appointed director of the Port of Paris-Gennevilliers, part of the HaRoPa marketing alliance. A high-ranking civil servant, he was previously director of housing policy in one of Paris's most deprived areas.
Lars Dittmann has been appointed sales and marketing director of the German Baltic port of Wismar. Before joining Seehafen Wismar GmbH he was branch manager for FSL Germany GmbH.
Poole Harbour Commissioners in England have appointed Doug Kettlewell as the port's new Chief Financial Officer.
Roland C Mower will be the next President and CEO of Port San Antonio, Texas. Effective 29 September, he succeeds Bruce E Miller, who has served in that role since 2002 and announced his retirement in January this year. For the past nine years, Mower has been President and CEO of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation.
Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, UIC Director General, is among 12 persons appointed from Government, Civil Society and the Private Sector to a new High-level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport set up by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
Marek Staszek has been appointed as the new CEO of DB Schenker Rail Polska. He was formerly the CFO and before that wad CEO of PTKiGK in Rybnek and CFO of PCC Rail. Both companies were taken over by Deutsche Bahn in 2009. He succeeds Christian Schreyer, who left the company in June.

Capacity Trucks has named J P (Jerry) Looney as its new National Sales Director, in charge of national accounts, such as UPS and Fed Ex. In a related move, Jerry Looney has been replaced as VP, Sales and Marketing, of Capacity Trucks and LayMor by David Chickowski.
US-based Hoist Liftruck Mfg, Inc has appointed Stuart Jacover as Vice President, Strategy and Development.
Peter Vanek was recently appointed Managing Director of GEFCO Austria.
Air Partner has appointed Peter Saunders to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 18 September. He will replace Chuck Pollard in this role.
