German shipping company NSB Reederei, a leading container tramper, has appointed Tim Porath as its new COO. He thus joins his father Helmut Porath (CEO) and Lutz Weber (CFO) on the Board. Lutz Müller is available as technical advisor.
Janiece M Longoria has been unanimously reappointed Chairman of the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority today in a joint session of the Harris County Commissioners Court and the Houston City Council.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has appointed his Deputy Mayor for City Services, Doane Liu, as Deputy Executive Director and Chief of Staff at the Port of Los Angeles (POLA), with effect from February 1. He will continue to help oversee the Mayor's Office of City Services until the transition to a new Deputy Mayor is complete. A search for his successor is underway. Separately, POLA has appointed Marla Bleavins as its Chief Financial Officer.
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority has announced that Frank Brogan will retire from his post as Managing Director on 2 February, after a career spanning more than 40 years. Mr. Brogan will retire on February 2, 2015. A nationwide search for his successor is under way.
Nicolas Occis has been appointed Executive Director of HAROPA Port of Rouen. He succeeds Philippe Deiss who was appointed Managing Director of Ports Normands Associés’ last November. Occis also takes the revolving presidency of the HAROPA GIE for the year 2015, succeeding Hervé Martel, Executive Director of HAROPA-Port of Le Havre, as the Executive Director of each HAROPA port is president in turns.
Franz Anton Zauner has been appointed Regional Representative for Austria/Central and Eastern Europe by the Port of Rotterdam Authority, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary to his "desk," which up to now concerned only Austria. A multi-lingual assistant will also be appointed.
