Latest news on appointments known to WorldCargo News in the shipping, ports and allied industry sectors
Danish-based shipping line J Lauritzen has appointed Mads Peter Zacho as President and CEO. Prior to joining J Lauritzen, he served as CFO of TORM A/S and before that held positions within the A P Moller-Maersk Group, the International Finance Corporation and Nordea.
The Supervisory Board of the Port of Tallinn has appointed Margus Vihman as Chief Commercial Officer, effective 1st November, initially on a 5-year contract and with a seat on the port's (Tallinn Satama) Management Borad.
In the build-up to TOC Americas 2016, starting on Tuesday, 11th October in Cancun, Mexico, Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has announced key Americas appointments. Erika Barbosa has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Services for Latin America. She joins Kalmar from Caterpillar LATAM. The post is based in Panama and focuses on supporting Kalmar operations in Mexico, Panama, Argentina, and Brazil. Marco Nava joins Kalmar as Managing Director, Mexico from Volvo Trucks. Steve Cianci has been appointed Vice President, Industrial Markets and Counterbalanced Products. He joins Kalmar from UniCarrier, a division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Göran Krave has been appointed Director, Services in the Americas region. Previously, he was responsible for the business development in Kalmar Americas. Kalmar's headquarters for the Americas region is in Miami, Florida, with service operations located in Mexico, Panama, Argentina, and Brazil.
Effective 1st November, 2016, Patrik Lundblad has been appointed Senior Vice President, Technology at Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE). He will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Volvo CE’s global technology strategy.
