DP World has appointed Sara Falaknaz as Chief Innovation Officer with immediate effect. Falaknaz is currently the Vice President of Innovation for DP World and her new duties will expand the role in other directions.
The Port of Dunkirk has appointed Erwan Le Bris as its Director of Planning & the Environment. He was formerly Assistant Director, Road Engineering with Northern Fance.
Port of Long Beach Managing Director of Communications Noelia Rodríguez has recently departed the Harbor Department. She was recruited in 2015 by then-CEO Jon Slangerup to oversee the Port's communications and government relations functions.
Broward County's Port Everglades has hired local environmental science and planning veteran Erik Neugaard as its new Environmental Program Manager within the Seaport Engineering and Construction Division.
Cargotec's Nomination and Compensation Committee has proposed that Teresa Kemppi-Vasama and Johanna Lamminen be appointed to the Board of Directors, increasing the Board to 10. Teresa Kemppi-Vasama is the Executive Chairman of the Board of Kemppi Oy, a world-leading manufacturer of arc welding equipment and a provider of solutions for highly productive welding. Johanna Lamminen is the CEO of leading and Nordic Finnish energy company Gasum Ltd. Lamminen is on the Board of Tieto Plc and Evli Bank Plc, and she has held CEO and CFO positions at Danske Bank, Finland.
Denmark-based transport and logistics services provider DSV A/S has appointed four new CCOs, covering all of its divisions: Michael D Hansen – DSV Air & Sea Holding; Wilbert Tholhuijsen – DSV Road Holding; Meinderdjan Botman – DSV Solutions Holding; and Jenny Purchase – DSV, Sub Saharan Africa

International law firm Hill Dickinson has reached an agreement that will bring the shipping practice of Swinnerton Moore LLP to the firm. The agreement is expected to be finalised by the end of February and will see founding partners Tony Swinnerton and Lewis Moore join Hill Dickinson’s City of London office.
