Elme Spreader broadens its service box line
Since Elme Spreader released its “Elme Servicebox” concept in 2014, the line of service boxes has been extended continuously as demand has increased
A further increase in demand from OEMs and end-customers is one reason why Elme has now introduced associated boxes for its crane spreader products as well.
First in line are boxes for the newly launched all-electric crane spreader series 8110E/8215E, for the RTG/RMG/ARMG crane spreader models 8110/8215 and for the intermodal crane spreader models 8510/8615. During the course of this year boxes for the complete crane spreader line will be launched.
The main idea of the Elme Servicebox is to facilitate service work and preventive maintenance by boxing up selected genuine parts. These are Elme’s own range of spare parts and accessories, all in-house produced at the factory in Älmhult, Sweden.
According to Oskar Karlsson, spare parts manager at Elme Spreader, increased understanding of the importance of preventive maintenance, together with a high degree of availability of the boxes, makes the concept successful.
He points out that enhanced availability of service parts is one element of Elme’s product responsibility strategy and the company's way of ensuring the performance and reliability of its products. The launch of the extended servicebox line coincides with further Elme website updates, where enhanced product pages for the service boxes are the main focus.
