Latest round up of appointments known to WorldCargo News in the shipping, ports and allied sectors

Hamburg, Germany: The Schulte Group has announced that Norbert Aschmann will leave Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement at the end of this year and will be succeeded by Ian Beveridge as Chief Executive Officer with effect from January 1st, 2018. Mr Beveridge is currently CEO of Bernhard Schulte and will retain this responsibility from that date.

Los Angeles City Council has confirmed that long-time Wilmington community advocate Lucia Moreno-Linares has been appointed to the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners. She replaces Patricia Castellanos, who recently stepped down to focus on a new career opportunity.

Mike Ryan, a Master Mariner and former RN Coammander, has been appointed Marine Director/Harbourmaster at the Port of Milford Haven, succeeding Bill Post, who will retire at the end of October after 18 years in post.

Madrid, Spain: Enrique Marchessi has left his post as Sales Director of Paceco Espaňa SA to take up a challenge outside the container crane industry. The new Sales Director is Camilo Torres, who has been working in the company's commercial team for a number of years and has been Sales Manager for the past five years. 

Jost Daemmgen, previously Sales Manager, Crane ystems at TMEIC, is now Sales Director, Solution Sales and Marketing, Automation and Projects Division at Kalmar.

Dr Bernd Pahnke, who has held a number of management positions within the DB AG group (Chairman of Schenker Deutschland AG, Vice President Business Development, DB Schenker Holding, and Vice President, Port Development, DB Cargo AG) has joined the Management Board of Transfracht.

Strasbourg, France: France's Commission Centrale pour la Navigation du Rhin (CCNR) has reported that Lucie Fahrner has been appointed Communications Officer, succeeding Clémentine Hurbourque in the post. Joining from a communications post with Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg, Mme Fahrner's responsibilities extend to communication strategies of CDNI (waste disposal) and CESNI (navigation standards).

Kögel has appointed Krystian Smolski Sales Director for Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Baltic States, responsible for the strategic development of existing dealers and key accounts.

Dubai, UAE: The GAC Group has announced two new IT management appointments. Facundo Mendoza, previously Senior IT Manager, has been appointed as Group General Manager – Technology Business Management. Helena Lemon has joined GAC as Technology Business Manager – Management Information.
