New Combilift e-FLT

Ireland-based Combilift has extended its range of multi-directional FLTs with a new electric design with 4,000 kg capacity

The new Combi-CBE 4t forklift was launched earlier this week by Martin McVicar, Managing Director, Combilift, at the GIS, Lifting, Industrial and Port Handling and Heavy Transport show at the Piacenza Expo in Italy.

The all-wheel drive Combi-CBE 4t is based on the original multi-directional counterbalance forklift truck that Combilift brought to market in 2006. Up to now, the the electric model was available only up to 3,000 kg.

The Combi-CBE 4t, coupled with large rubber tyres, allows the truck to work effortlessly indoors and out and to work on all types of terrains, states the company, so it can, for example, offload HGVs and bring product directly to racking or free stacking areas, as well as feed production lines. "Combined with load sensing steering and no fumes, this means that this forklift is ideal for indoor warehouse operations."

Side shift comes as standard and an integrated hydraulic fork positioner is an option to facilitate the handling of various sized loads, without operators having to leave the cab to manually adjust the forks. Driver convenience and comfort is also a consideration in the design of the new Combi-CBE 4t. Hydraulic steering and synchronised front wheel positions allow for ease of control while driving in all directions.

Speaking at the launch in Italy Combilift’s Managing Director Martin McVicar said: “This product is a clear example of our approach to meeting our customers’ requirements. It is particularly interesting to the Italian market where 93% of forklifts are electric. The initial enquiry came to us in 2015 and this week we are delighted to launch the Combi-CBE 4t in Italy before delivering it to an Italian customer.

"It will be delivered after exhibition by Euro Assistance, our Italian dealer to Mirrione Legnami, a company specialising in wood products and the timber and lumber industry located in Sicily. This is the first Combilift product that Mirrione Legnami has purchased and epitomises the continued growth of sales of Combilift products.”
