EBLO manufactures operator chairs for a wide range of applications, including cranes, forklifts and material handling equipment, and is based in Zwijndrecht, about 20km from Rotterdam. CM Labs is a simulation specialist from Montreal, Canada, and offers the well known Vortex range of simulators.
The new demo room at ELBO’s premises in Zwijndrecht showcases CM Labs’ Vortex simulator, running STS, Mobile Harbour crane and RTG training packs. “Vortex simulators for port equipment have been proven to help trainees learn operator skills quickly and safely, thanks to unmatched realism and accuracy in the simulated training environment. The realism of the simulators is powered by CM Labs’ Vortex Studio simulation and visualisation software. This software simulates the real behaviour of cranes, rigging, cables, and loads, validated against empirical and engineering data,” CM Labs stated.
Vortex simulators for port equipment are in used in locations including Adelaide, Australia, Tacoma and LA/Long Beach in the US, and several DP World operations across three continents. Partnering with EBLO is intended to help Vortex gain exposure in the European market. “We welcome the opportunity to partner with EBLO,” said CM Labs CCO Arnold Free. “Their strong presence and customer relationships further strengthens our mission to focus on aggressive exposure for our port training solutions within the European market.”
