The Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL), the leading trade association for the container and chassis leasing industries, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Gichner Systems Group, in partnership with Mainstream Engineering, has been awarded a sole-source contract to provide both the US Army and Air Force with the next-generation, multi-functional Tricon Refrigerated Container System (TRCS). It is with deep sadness that we report the death of container industry veteran Mike Cowley, who passed away in Qingdao, China, on Friday 19th November at the age of 63.

The UK’s sole surviving container manufacturer, Yorkshire Marine Containers Ltd (YMCL), has been placed into administration.
