Liebherr’s Indian file

News-in-print

Liebherr Werk-Nenzing has further strengthened its position in the strategically important Indian market for mobile harbour cranes with a shipment of six LHM 400 cranes in 4-rope configuration to ABG Infralogistics Ltd.

The machines, which are mainly for bulk handling, were shipped almost fullyerect (booms detached) from the manufacturing site in Rostock on board SAL’s LENA to the port of Haldia. They have a maximum lifting capacity of 140t on the ropes and are supplied with 20 m3 and 35 m3 grabs. Delivery in pre-assembled condition means that they can be put into operation very quickly, and startup is scheduled for mid-October. ABG Infralogistics is now a joint venture of India’s ABG group and France’s Louis Dreyfus Shipping (see WorldCargo News July 2009, p1).
